The red light typically indicates that the camera is using (or at least trying to use) the memory card. If the card is having issues then it might explain the symptom you've described. If you do reformat the memory card, make sure you tick the "Low Level" checkbox. But you might just consider buying a new memory card.

I was out in the garden last week imaging and it was so cold that my laptop froze! I now have a replacement, and as I don't want it to happen again I would like to make the camera WiFi enabled. Is it just a case of getting an SD card like this one and connecting it to the network?.. ww
